A man with a violent past is now charged in connection with the tragic death of a three-month-old child in Spring.
Jamal Porter has been arrested on charges of injuring a child. At the time of the incident, he was already on probation for violating a protective order involving Julius’s mother, Lataura Hines

According to court documents, Porter struck the three-month-old baby with a blunt object, causing fatal injuries.
Porter has a history of family violence, including a past conviction for aggravated assault against Hines. He has been accused multiple times of assaulting her, though not all cases led to convictions.

He is currently being held on a $300,000 bond.
