League City Police say someone came into the police department after 10 p.m. on Tuesday night and made a report against Edwards. On Wednesday, the department executed a search warrant at Edwards’ home in League City and at that point, they were able to move forward with the arrest and possession of child pornography charges.
According to League City Police, the two new charges involve a victim who is a minor so no additional information will be released at this time.
Edwards was transferred to the Galveston County Jail and will be kept separate from the general population, according to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office. He is scheduled to see a magistrate at 6 a.m. Friday.
