PEARLAND, Texas – A pilot, whose plane crashed out in a wooded area in Pearland late Sunday night, is fortunate to have not suffered any serious injuries.

It’s unclear how the plane crashed, but officials with the Texas DPS and Pearland PD said the unidentified pilot’s plane was found upside down in the woods at Friendswood Hastings & Dixie Farm, a couple of hundred feet from the Pearland Regional Airport runway.
DPS Troopers are at the scene of a one-occupant plane crash near Hastings Friendswood and Dixie Farm Rd in Pearland. The plane landed in a field, causing no property damage or injuries.

The pilot, meanwhile, was found at the side of the road with no visible injuries. It does not appear as though there was anyone else in the plane when it crashed.
