It’s unclear how the plane crashed, but officials with the Texas DPS and Pearland PD said the unidentified pilot’s plane was found upside down in the woods at Friendswood Hastings & Dixie Farm, a couple of hundred feet from the Pearland Regional Airport runway.

The pilot, meanwhile, was found at the side of the road with no visible injuries. It does not appear as though there was anyone else in the plane when it crashed.
