HOUSTON – Three men chased down and shot a man several times in Southeast Houston, police said.
Investigators said it all happened on Poplar Street and Park Place Boulevard at about 3 a.m. Saturday.

Witnesses said they saw three people chasing the victim.
When he tripped and fell, the three men kicked the victim and one of them pulled out a gun and shot him several times.
Police said the three men got away in a white Chevy Tahoe.
“Our complainant was aware enough to tell us that, and also some folks who were witnesses, after he had been shot that the individuals that shot him said that he had just looked at them, and they took it as if he was looking at them in a bad way,” said Lt. R. Willkens.
The victim was hospitalized in unknown condition.
