Four arrested after stealing nearly $2K in Nike apparel from Texas City outlet

Four men are behind bars after a bold theft at the Nike Factory Outlet in Texas City. The heist happened on Tuesday when officers from the Texas City Police Department were watching the area near Tanger Outlet Mall.

Authorities say they saw several men rush out of the Nike store with bags full of stolen items and jump into a getaway car.

Officers quickly made their move, stopping the car and uncovering over $1,900 worth of stolen merchandise, plus some crack cocaine.

The men arrested are:

  • Julian Jones – Facing charges of possession and theft.
  • Justin Carnell – Arrested for theft, with a history of previous convictions.
  • Eddie Oliver – Also caught for theft, with a record.
  • Michael Howard – Arrested for the same, with prior convictions.

Their bonds range from $7,500 to $10,000.
