Officers with the Houston Police Department are looking for a man who assaulted a 7-year-old girl while she was walking home from school in the Woodland Heights neighborhood.
HPD said the assault occurred just after 3 p.m. on Jan. 27.

They said the man “inappropriately grabbed and touched” the girl while she was walking in the 800 block of Omar Street.

Home security and doorbell cameras in the area captured clear footage of the man. He was wearing a black, flat-brimmed baseball cap (possibly with a Chicago White Sox logo), with a camouflage jacket, a white tank top and blue jeans. He has a distinct dark mustache and a large build.
After the assault, he was seen walking and jogging on Reagan Street and Watson Street nearby.
Authorities released footage captured at a nearby house showing the man following the girl around the time of the assault. KPRC 2 chose to blur the victim, as well as the other people captured in the clip.
Authorities are asking anyone who lives in the area to check their home cameras for more possibly sightings of this man. Any relevant footage can be submitted to Harris County Pct. 1 Constable Alan Rosen here.
