11-year-old boy shot during home invasion in NE Houston, wanted shooters on the run

HOUSTON – Authorities are looking for two people accused of shooting a little boy during a home invasion in northeast Houston early Tuesday morning.

It happened around 2 a.m. when Houston police said a man and woman walked up to a home on Grand Oaks off Woodforest Boulevard near Greens Bayou and started shooting from the front porch.

The two shooters then went to the back of the house and fired more shots into a bedroom before going into the house and shooting more.

Lt. Horelica with Houston PD says nothing was taken from the house and a motive is unclear, as of this writing.

Inside the home, was a grandmother, mother, teenage daughter, and an 11-year-old boy. Only he was hurt, suffering two gunshot wounds, and taken to a hospital where at last check, he is expected to survive.

No additional information has been shared, as of this writing, but an investigation continues.
