Martial arts instructor in The Woodlands accused of sexually abusing young student

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – A 100,000 bond has been set for a martial arts instructor who’s accused of sexually assaulting a young juvenile in The Woodlands, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office executed an arrest warrant for 32-year-old Stephen Zarruk on Jan. 17. The arrest follows an ongoing investigation into allegations of sexual abuse involving a juvenile student.

Zarruk reportedly sexually abused the young student during individualized training sessions conducted at The Woodlands Karate & MMA in The Woodlands.

It was discovered that he also worked as a substitute teacher and contract physical education instructor for Conroe Independent School District.

For this reason, the Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who has information about this case, or any concerns regarding their children’s interaction with Zarruk, to call 936-760-5800, option 3, and reference case number 25A008737.

Zarruk was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
