HOUSTON – Houston Police are investigating after they say a man with gunshot wounds died after he was dropped off at a Galleria area emergency room
It happened at the Post Oak Emergency Room and Urgent ER Care in the 5000 block of San Felipe Street.
Police say they were called to the emergency room at about 5:30 p.m. after a man brought another man with gunshot wounds to the emergency room.
Lt. Larry Crowson with the Houston Police Department says people inside the emergency room tried to save the man, but he died.
Crowson says they believe the shooting happened to the south of the emergency room in the parking lot of a nearby restaurant.
They are also looking for the man who brought the victim to the emergency room as they say he left after dropping the victim off. The truck the two came to the emergency room in is still there so they are trying to figure out whether the man left on foot or was picked up by somebody else.
Authorities are looking for surveillance video to try and learn more details about the shooting.
