Houston driver runs away on foot after being involved in car crash

Houston police are investigating a hit-and-run car collision that involved a driver who fled the scene on foot.

The crash happened at around 11:45 a.m. Sunday morning near the intersection of Elgin Street and Nettleton Street.

Two cars crashed into each other, and the suspected driver of one of the vehicles ran away on foot just minutes before Houston Police Department officers arrived at the scene.

The person who alerted authorities to the crash was not involved in the accident, and officials are investigating the license plate number of the car driven by the person responsible for the hit-and-run.

Officials did not provide information on the status of anyone involved at this time.
