$100K reward for information on Houston-area mail thieves

Officials are offering a hefty reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects responsible for multiple mail heists in the Houston area.

The Houston Division of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service will pay up to $100,000 in rewards for information leading to the arrests of the thieves responsible for pillaging cluster mailboxes in both Harris County and Fort Bend County.

According to the USPIS, the three men have hit multiple apartment complexes, including two incidents on Oct. 17 and Oct. 21 at the Montage at Cinco Ranch Apartments located at 24333 Cinco Terrace Dr. in Katy.

The USPIS released surveillance footage that captured the burglars in action:

This incident is the latest in a string of mailbox burglaries in the Houston area. Back in August, KPRC 2′s Corley Peel reported on an affordable housing complex that had its mailboxes ransacked three separate times over the span of one month.

The USPIS is asking anyone with any information about this crime to contact them at 877-876-2455 (say “Law enforcement”), reference case # 4384236-MT. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
