On Wednesday, Henderson released a statement regarding the charges, saying the police responded to a disagreement he and his wife were having. He said although he was arrested the court determined there was no cause for his arrest and all charges were dismissed.

“On Saturday 10/12/24 I was involved in a disagreement with my wife. At some point the police were called. In an effort to quell the matter I made a decision to leave. I was approached by the police, cooperated, and was in fact arrested. Upon Judicial review of my actions and the incident, it was determined by the court that I VIOLATED NO LAW AND THERE WAS NO PROBABLE CAUSE FOR MY ARREST, ALL CHARGES WERE DISMISSED AND I WAS RELEASED. Please respect my family’s privacy in this difficult time. Respectfully, Josh Henderson”

The Galveston County Sherriff’s Office still list Henderson charges as active and do not show they have been dismissed.

Henderson, who has a long career in animal welfare and animal services, previously worked with the Galveston County Health District Animal Services and the Galveston Police Department as their Animal Services Cruelty Investigator.
