Buddhist temple in Houston heavily damaged in storm, now rebuild is underway

HOUSTON – The Texas Guandi Temple in Houston, the largest Guandi Temple in the United States, was heavily damaged during Hurricane Beryl and now needs hundreds of thousands of dollars in repairs.

On Sept. 6, the entire roofing structure came crashing down destroying much of what was inside this place of worship and peace.

Now the non-profit organization that runs the temple is trying to raise enough money to rebuild this sacred place which has served the Thai, Filipino, Vietnamese, Chinese and all communities of faith since 1999.

If you would like to donate to help the rebuilding effort and save the temple, you can go to the link here.
