Now, the Houston-area residents and businesses will get to weigh in on the company’s performance. The PUC has developed an online survey as part of its investigation into CenterPoint’s readiness and response. You can find that survey by clicking here.
More than 2.6 million customers lost power during Beryl and some went without for 11 days. Thirty-six people died during that time, many of those deaths were heat-related with people who did not have power and no air conditioning.
Here’s what the four-page survey asks
Page 1: Basic background information (name, contact information, zip code, where you were impacted by Beryl and/or the derecho)
Page 2: Information regarding the storm’s impact (number of days impacted, details based on how you were impacted)
Page 3: This page asks when you were first contacted by your energy provider, and what type of communication that was.
Page 4: This page details how energy companies can improve moving forward (how can power restoration be improved, what actions did you find helpful from your provider).
