Family members find body of missing man, his motorcycle below elevated portion of SH 3 in League City

LEAGUE CITY, Texas – Police in League City say the body of a missing man along with his motorcycle were found by family members searching for him.

The discovery was made Sunday in the 1000 block of N. SH 3.

The League City Police Department said family members told them the man had last been heard from around 9:15 p.m. on Friday. When he didn’t arrive home, family members began searching for him using the Find My Friends app. They saw his location was in the 1000 block of N. State Highway 3.

On Saturday, family members searched the area and at 9:30 p.m. filed a missing person’s report.

The man’s body and motorcycle were found by family members who returned to the area to search on Sunday. Officers responded and were pointed to where the man was found. Police said the man’s body and motorcycle were found approximately 15 feet below the elevated portion of the highway.

“League City Police Officers and LCPD’s Crash Team Investigators are on scene for this ongoing investigation. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the League City Police Department at 281-332-2566,” the department said.
