THE WOODLANDS – Somebody in The Woodlands called 911 when they saw two small dogs locked in a parked vehicle Sunday near I-45 and Lake Front Circle.
When firefighters couldn’t find the owner, they forced their way into the car and got the two dogs out.

The crew cooled the dogs off, cleaned them and handed them over to Montgomery County Animal Control.
Animal control and the sheriff’s office are investigating.
Earlier that same day, firefighters had to break the window of a car to get a child out who’d accidentally been locked inside.
Reminder from first responders: The heat is here and it’s definitely that time of the season when you want to be extra vigilant -- don’t leave your kids or your pets in a hot car.
“With summer upon us and temperatures consistently in the 90′s the interior of a vehicle in the sun will heat up to 110 in the first 10 minutes and quickly climb to over 130 degrees in an hour! Make sure to check your back seat when exiting your vehicle and never leave children or animals in a vehicle that is not running,” The Woodlands Fire Department posted on social media.
