HOUSTON – A woman shot multiple times and killed Tuesday morning at a gas station in Houston’s Museum District worked for Alvin ISD.
The district confirmed to KPRC 2 that Teresa Houston, 44, was “a valued member of the Shadow Creek High School staff.”

“Teresa’s dedication and commitment to our students will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time,” Renae Rives, the district’s Chief Communications Officer said.
Houston and her ex-boyfriend got into an altercation at a gas station on Almeda shortly after midnight. The man chased Houston inside the gas station store and then outside where he shot her as she was running through the gas pumps.
He kept shooting her after she fell, hitting her nine times, Houston police said.
Houston firefighters who were fueling up a truck at the pumps saw everything and flagged down a nearby constable deputy from Harris County Precinct 7.
The gunman had taken off in Houston’s black Chevy Camaro and when a deputy tried pulling him over, he opened fire.
During a gunfight with the deputy, who’d taken cover, the gunman sped off in his patrol car, returning moments later to get back into the Camaro and got into a second gunbattle with the deputy.
That deputy was hurt when he fell and hit his head and is expected to be OK.
The Camaro was found around 8 a.m. on 610 near Kirkpatrick in NE Houston.
The gunman is on the run.
Police say he is armed and dangerous. They have a good idea of who he is and are encouraging the public to share any information they may have to help track him down.
