UH Basketball Alum and Savoy owner hosts ‘Paint the Third Ward Red’ watch party for NCAA Championship

Co-owned by University of Houston women’s basketball alum Claire “Long” Watson and Black Watson, The Savoy is set to host a no entry fee watch party, inviting all University of Houston fans to wear their Coogs gear tonight for the ‘Paint the Third Ward Red’ watch party, celebrating the Cougars’ first National Championship appearance since 1984.

The event will take place tonight April 7 at The Savoy, 4402 Emancipation Ave. The watch party will begin at 7:50 p.m.

Doors will open at 11 a.m. with The Savoy’s renowned brunch, offering a 15% discount on brunch entrées for those wearing Cougar Red. The menu includes March Madness-themed draft cocktails, sliders, wings platters, and a selection of crawfish dishes featuring crawfish, wild jumbo shrimp, Caribbean spiny lobster, vegetables, and sausage.
