Waiting Under the Willow (WUWF) visited the KPRC 2 Studios this week to introduce 6-month-old puppy, Tito. Found abandoned at a park, Tito is a bit on the shy side at first, but warms up once you’ve gained his trust. Tito is a shepherd mix and when fully grown isn’t expected to be bigger than 30 or 35 pounds. He’s currently in a foster home and is good with kids and other pets!
WUWF also talked about Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and how their newest volunteer is helping spread awareness. Kaylyn White, who was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 12, says the only thing that got her through intense treatment at MD Anderson were the therapy dogs who visited on the weekends. Now in remission and out of the hospital, Kaylyn wanted to give back to the animals and support them the way they supported her! Kaylyn’s full story will be featured by KPRC 2′s Lisa Hernandez next week.
