Today’s Forecast:
Today will be very similar to what we have seen every day—highs in the lower-90s with humid conditions.
Any rain is expected to be minimal, with most of the area likely to see less than half an inch.
Weekend Forecast:
While the sun dominates Saturday, rain chances increase Sunday afternoon, with showers lingering into the start of next week.
Heading toward the weekend, rain chances are expected to edge up a bit, continuing the trend of hit-or-miss storms during the hottest part of the day.
If you’re going to a pumpkin patch ahead of the Autumnal Equinox on Monday, I certainly would not recommend a sweater, as our highs are in the lower-90s.
Tropical outlook:
Tropical Storm Gabrielle continues to struggle to gain any significant strength as it has been encountering a ton of dry air and wind shear. It is still expected to slide east of Bermuda and out into the north Atlantic.
A tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic is stirring up disorganized thunderstorms and has a low chance for development in the next week. It is moving behind Tropical Storm Gabrielle.

Your extended forecast:
Temperatures and dewpoints will be holding in a very summer-like pattern. Expect highs in the mid to low 90s and lows in the mid-70s. Fall officially begins next Monday, but the thermometer just isn’t reflecting it quite yet.
There’s also a notable milestone coming up: Rosh Hashanah and the autumnal equinox are just around the corner, but even as September wraps up, above-average temperatures are in the forecast. No strong shift into fall weather is expected at this time.
