Tropical Storm Gabrielle is finally here, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Gabrielle formed early Wednesday morning as a tropical depression in the Atlantic, making it the seventh named storm of the 2025 season.
It’s expected to become even stronger into a hurricane by the end of the weekend.
Most long-range models have Gabrielle holding between Cat. 1 and Cat. 2 range and appear to eventually steer around the Bermuda high in the central Atlantic Ocean.
It is not looking like it will be a threat to the mainland US at this time.
Meanwhile, we’re still in the back half of the peak of hurricane season, so we’ll likely be tracking additional storm formations through the rest of September and early October.
Thankfully, we are not seeing any signs of development closer to home in the Gulf. We are not anticipating any storms that looks to threaten any Gulf coast states.
