Friday’s forecast:

Friday will be very similar to Thursday. Morning lows will be in the mid-70s with a muggy feel. Through the day we will climb through the 80s and into the lower-90s. There is a low chance for showers and thunderstorms.

Friday Afternoon

An ozone watch is in effect for Friday. The combination of sunny skies, warm temperatures, and light winds could create air quality issues. Those sensitive to air quality might want to limit afternoon outdoor activities.

Weekend Forecast

Tropical outlook:

There is one region in the Atlantic that has a 0% chance of formation in the next 2 days and a 30% (low) chance of development in the next 7 days. With it’s positioning we aren’t concerned about this for at least another week.

Tropical Outlook (Copyright 2025 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)

Given that we are nearly at the peak of hurricane season, it is remarkable that we’re relatively quiet in the Atlantic Basin. However, we’ll keep a watch on the boundary that is sitting in the Gulf.

Tropical outlook for potential (Copyright 2025 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)

Nothing to worry about now, but some long-range models are looking to spin up a weak open low-pressure system by the end of the week. We’ll keep a watch on it.
