Labor Day weekend brought heavy downpours to Houston, leading to flooding. Thankfully, the rainy pattern is finally coming to an end.
RECAP: Dangerous flooding hits Houston interstates during Labor Day storms
Tonight’s Forecast:
We are finally dry across SE Texas. Tonight will be mild with temperatures dropping into the mid-70s.
Wednesday’s Forecast:
The dry pattern continues on Wednesday with nothing but sunshine before rain chances return late week.
Tropical Outlook:
The tropics remain generally quiet. Right now, we’re watching a tropical wave over the far eastern tropical Atlantic, south-southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands is producing disorganized thunderstorms. It has a 70% chance to develop over the next 7 days. Currently the track looks to be similar to Hurricane Erin that curved north and brought rough seas to the east coast.

Your extended forecast:
Behind the wet weather comes a slight temperature change for morning lows on Tuesday. Instead of upper 70s, we could wake up to temperatures in the low to mid-70s. Don’t get too excited, though, as the daytime temperatures stay high!
