This Afternoon’s Forecast
Although we did not see any heavy rainfall from the tropical disturbance that moved through Louisiana, we have seen heavy cloud cover! This cloud cover is from the tropical low. For Houston, the best chance to see rain will likely be Friday afternoon, especially between 4 and 5 p.m.
If you have date night plans on this Friday you shouldn’t have any issues! It’ll be warm, cloudy and humid but that’s just Houston in July.
Saturday’s Forecast:
Saturday will have mostly cloudy skies with highs climbing to the lower-90s in the afternoon. Factor in the humidity and it will feel like the lower-100s. There’s a 30% chance for showers and storms primarily in the heat of the day between 2PM-6PM.
Pattern Change:
We will see rain chances go to near zero by Sunday, which means our temperatures will start to climb. Highs Monday-Wednesday will be in the mid-to-upper 90s. Humidity will make it feel like 105°+ so please make smart choices! Dress for the warm weather. Wear light colored, light weight clothing. Listen to your body and take breaks in the sun. Most importantly, stay hydrated! Drink plenty of water even before you enter the heat.
Tracking the tropics:
There is no threat of tropical development in the Atlantic Basin over the next seven days.

Your 10-Day Forecast:
Any lingering moisture is expected to move out by Saturday morning. After that, rain chances drop off and temperatures are set to rise, with highs in the mid-to-upper 90s starting early next week.
