The Pride Festival kicks off at 11 AM Saturday, and while the vibes will be high, so will the temperatures.

Temperatures will be in the upper-80s by 11 AM with a heat index close to 100°. At the height of the day, we can feel up to 104° so please stay hydrated! Water is going to be a necessary accessory (as is body glitter!).

We’ll be watching the skies through the afternoon as spotty, hit-or-miss storms pop up during the heat of the day. If one rolls through, don’t worry — they should be brief, lasting no more than 30 minutes, and could even bring some quick relief from the heat and a rainbow! Otherwise, it’s a toasty day with highs in the lower 90s, feeling like the low 100s.

It will be hot and humid with isolated storms.

But here’s the most fabulous forecast news: by the time the Pride Parade steps off at 7 PM, rain chances will be long gone! And since Houston hosts one of the few nighttime pride parades in the country, the timing is perfect! The sun goes down at 8:27 PM, the heat will ease, and the streets will be sparkling. Expect temperatures dipping through the 80s, still warm and humid, but much more comfortable.

The weather will be great for the pride parade!
