Sunday’s Forecast:
HOUSTON – A ridge of high pressure is bringing Houston hot weather this weekend, with “feels like” temperatures in the triple digits. The forecasted high is 98 but if Houston happens to reach 100 tomorrow, it will be the first 100 degree day of 2025. The average 100 degree day typically occurs in mid-July.
The heat risk is major Sunday, this a good weekend to be mindful of staying extra hydrated and taking breaks indoors.
Rain Returns:
Rain chances increase next week. Expect daily showers and storms possible. The rain will help beat heat down to the upper 80s.
Tracking The Tropics
- Tropical Atlantic: No tropical cyclone activity expected in the next 7 days, as there are plenty of plumes of Saharan dust. It will bring a hazy look to our weekend forecast
- Eastern Pacific: A few areas of interest are being tracked for cyclone formation in 7 days near southern Mexico and south of Central America
10 Day Forecast:
Next week temperatures return to closer to average as rain chances help decrease heat.
