HOUSTON – After a bumpy afternoon, we’re ready to track another round of storms for this afternoon. They may not be as aggressive as Wednesday, however, with full sunshine Thursday morning, it’s a good bet to see a few stronger downpours again today.

  • Tropical Atlantic: No tropical cyclone activity expected in the next 7 days, as there are plenty of plumes of Saharan dust. It will bring a hazy look to our weekend forecast

  • SE US Coastline: The NHC has downgraded a 10% chance of tropical development off the coast of central Florida to a 0%. Not a good chance for an “Andrea” but could bring some heavy rain to the beaches later this week

Eastern Pacific: An 80% chance of cyclone formation in 7 days near southern Mexico and south of Central America

The next 10 days the pattern stay pretty typical to early June. The best rain chances will likely be Wednesday with a cool front that stalls just north of Houston.
