HOUSTON – Don’t worry about any washouts as we start June. We’re going into a more typical, drier, summer pattern. And despite today’s high of 92 which is seasonable, with the humidity, it will feel hotter!
Houston’s “Feels Like” Forecast:
Thanks to a high-pressure system clearing the clouds, the sun nearly overhead at noon and the humid southeast winds from the Gulf, and it’s going to feel scorching all week!“Feels like” temperatures are set to soar into triple digits by midweek.
So when is it going to rain?
We are tracking a chance for scattered showers on Wednesday, but as of right now, our feels like temperatures will continue to climb to the triple digits.
Tracking The Tropics
- Atlantic & Central Pacific: No tropical cyclone activity expected in the next 7 days.
- Eastern Pacific: A 40% chance of cyclone formation in 7 days near southern Mexico and south of Central America. We’re monitoring a system of disorganized showers and thunderstorms that could develop into a tropical cyclone. If it forms, it’s expected to move at 10 mph offshore for now.
This week we are monitoring Saharan dust. When the dust reaches SE Texas, this will bring colorful sunsets but also may cause poor air quality. Saharan dust is also helps suppress tropical development.
10 Day Forecast
The next 10 days the pattern stay pretty typical to early June. The best rain chances will likely be Wednesday with a cool front that stalls just north of Houston.
