  • Eastern Pacific: A 40% chance of cyclone formation in 7 days near southern Mexico and south of Central America. We’re monitoring a system of disorganized showers and thunderstorms that could develop into a tropical cyclone. If it forms, it’s expected to move at 10 mph offshore for now.

This week we are monitoring Saharan dust. When the dust reaches SE Texas, this will bring colorful sunsets but also may cause poor air quality. Saharan dust is also helps suppress tropical development.
