HOUSTON – Storm chances continue overnight as thunderstorms dive out of North Texas. It looks the like the best chance is east of 45 through the overnight hours with rain dying down by sunrise.

Monday’s Forecast:

Patchy morning fog is possible but rain chances look to be 20% or less. Do not worry about any washouts. So expect a mostly sunny afternoon with temperatures seasonably hot.

It’s that time of year again! We’re officially kicking off the 2025 hurricane season today. Right now, it’s all quiet across the Gulf and into the tropics.

This week we are monitoring Saharan dust. When the dust reaches SE Texas, this will bring colorful sunsets but also may cause poor air quality. Saharan dust is also helps suppress tropical development.

Eastern Pacific Hurricane Season:

We’re tracking an area of thunderstorms that have a 40% chance of development over the next 7 days in the Eastern Pacific.

Another area of interest is beginning to develop off the coast of Mexico and Central America.
