The storm activity is tapering off this afternoon and evening, offering a drier outlook for most, the rest of the day because the atmosphere is zapped from the rain and storms from earlier.

The heaviest of the rain continues to move east into Louisiana.

Power outages as of 2 PM affect over 2000 customers, mostly near Cypress, Sugar Land, and Brazoria county.

The unsettled pattern returned today as a stalled front north of Houston sparked another round of storms.

Summer Pattern Sets In:

The good news is storm chances decrease starting Thursday. Houston returns to a more summer-like pattern with isolated pop-up showers and storms each day. These showers and storms will not wash out any of your outdoor plans.

Hot, humid with daily pop up showers and storms possible

10 Day Forecast:

We should start to see storms wind down on Friday and we’ll be back to a more typical summer pattern for the weekend.

Temperatures warm back to the low 90s, which is average for the first week of June.
