HOUSTON – Gulf humidity is back and will be in charge for most of our holiday forecast. While there is a very small chance to see any rain for the first half of the holiday, it’s always good to see current conditions if you’re trying to head out.
You can check radar here:
Expect highs to climb again back into the mid 90s, feeling more like the low 100s so as always, take care in the midday heat.
It will stay consistently hot and sticky through the entire holiday weekend.
Take care of yourself in this heat:
Remember to take breaks to avoid heat exhaustion if you plan to be outside. It usually takes our bodies a few weeks to acclimate to the typical summer Houston heat.
Memorial Weekend Travel:
The KPRC 2 Weather Team will be tracking any travel troubles through the holiday weekend. Travel across Texas on Friday should be mainly trouble free.
10-day forecast:
Temperatures may see a dip back into the 80s as rain chances increase slightly for Memorial Day weekend.
Right now, it looks like 20-30% should cover our weekend so pool parties and BBQ time should be just fine. Storm chances ramp up for Memorial Day and a good chunk of next week.
