A cool front late Tuesday night will give Houston a much-needed break from the humidity (for a day anyway) ...

Wednesday AM temps will be back in the 60s for some

REALLY HOT ahead of a cool front:

HOUSTON – A cool front moves through on Tuesday, bringing a few chances for showers or a thunderstorm that may drench some folks for the evening drive home.

The cold front isn’t the type that will drop us back into the 70s, but it will swing winds from the south to the north, blowing in drier air that will help lower humidity for a few days.

At least the mornings will feel a little more manageable with most areas starting in the mid to upper 60s to low 70s Wednesday morning.

Humidity gets shoved south as a cold front moves through Tuesday through Wednesday

Ahead of the front, feels-like temperatures will sky rocket to the triple digits Tuesday.

We’ll see a tiny dip in our morning lows, which will bring a slight relief to the mornings- instead of waking in upper 70s and low 80s, we get to enjoy a couple mornings in the low 70s.

The front will weaken and stall out which may bring a few more isolated showers Thursday.

Take care of yourself in this heat:

Remember to take breaks to avoid heat exhaustion if you plan to be outside. It usually takes our bodies a few weeks to acclimate to the typical summer Houston heat.

10-day forecast:

Temperatures may see a dip back into the 80s as rain chances increase slightly for Memorial Day weekend. Right now, it looks like 20-30% should cover our weekend but we’ll adjust the forecast as we need to.
