Sunshine is back but bundle up!

Much cooler than normal mornings ahead (KPRC)

HOUSTON – Overnight skies cleared enough for the temperatures to begin their slide into what will mostly be the low 40s to start this week. It is the start of what will be a cold couple of days with highs barely getting out of the 50s. With the sustained winds of 15-20mph, it makes the actual temperatures feel much colder!

Wind will remain an issue through the day. (KPRC)

We’ll have bright sun today but still mid 50s will be the warmest we can muster. Then tomorrow night, the entire area is under the first Freeze Warning of the season! Tuesday morning lows will drop to near freezing around the Houston metro, with northern counties seeing sub-freezing temps in the upper 20s!

Midnight to 8am Tuesday (KPRC)

After last week where we had lows in the 50s and 60s, our first week of December will be quite a bit cooler as we flirt with freezing at least a couple of days. Another small cold front will swing through on Wednesday, then another round of chilly air will spill into the area and remain in place for the duration of the week. Break out the winter coats, we’ll be needing them this week!
