Kendall County emergency coordinator: “I’m new to this role” ahead of Hill Country flooding

Kendall County Emergency Management Coordinator Brady Costantine told lawmakers during a joint hearing on the July 4 Hill Country floods that he is still new to the role. Costantine, who has a background in fire service, confirmed that a weather call with the State Operations Center (SOC) took place at 10 a.m. on July 3 and that local communication about the storm potential began around 8:30 a.m. that morning.
