A car has been involved in a major wreck with a firetruck in Houston’s southside.

A person has been life-flighted to a Houston-area hospital after a major accident between a motorcycle and a U-Haul truck in northwest Houston.

All southbound lanes on I-45 have been closed after an 18-wheeler burst into flames Thursday morning.

A man has died following a massive wreck on the IH-69 Eastex Northbound Freeway.

Nine people were injured in a Jersey Village restaurant after a vehicle slammed through the building.

On Thursday morning, Houston police reported a fatal crash at 5699 Belarbor St. at Martin Luther King Blvd. in southern Houston.

An accident involving a motorcycle and a semi-trailer truck has reportedly left one person dead, as announced by Houston Police on X.

A 12-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition Sunday following a wreck on US 290, according to the Cy-Fair Fire Department. The wreck happened at around 9:40 a.m. on US 290 near Mason Rd. Investigators said the 12-year-old boy was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated. Three people, including the 12-year-old, were transported to an area hospital following the crash. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

SPRING, Texas – Over the weekend, Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s deputies responded to a wreck involving a young girl who drove into a home in Spring, Texas. The incident occurred at the 25500 block of Thistlewaite Lane, officials said. Deputies said the driver, a 12-year-old girl, was being taught how to drive by a 22-year-old woman. According to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman, the preteen lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a home. The woman was cited for permitting an unauthorized person to drive and the preteen was cited for driving without a license, failure to drive in a single lane and driving without insurance.

HOUSTON – Two of the four children who were injured in a north Harris County crash Thursday night have died, the family told KPRC 2 Monday. The children’s aunt said 7-year-old Carlton Williams III died over the weekend and 5-year-old Kyree Bogany died Monday. A 9-year-old girl was in the front passenger seat and suffered minor injuries while another young child suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. The family set up a GoFundMe account to help with funeral expenses for Billups, Kyree and Carlton.

HOUSTON – A child riding a bike was struck by a school bus Monday afternoon outside Barbers Hill Elementary School South, according to the district. The incident was reported around 3:30 p.m.School officials said the bus that struck the child also had other students aboard. The extent of the child’s injuries is unknown. Houston police said a drunk, wrong-way driver and an 18-wheeler collided on I-45 in Downtown Houston. The driver of the big rig saw the wrong-way driver, tried to swerve out of their path and ended up plunging off the freeway, according to authorities. Sukhjit Khara owns the big rig that crashed and received a call from a tow truck driver informing him his vehicle was involved in the accident. When he called the tow truck driver back, they informed him that his father survived the 50-foot plummet. HOUSTON A motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital Sunday afternoon after a major wreck in Spring, Texas, according to a tweet from Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman. The crash was first reported at about 1:19 p.m. in the 6900 block of Cypresswood Drive, across the street from Cypresswood Elementary School, officials said. Herman said the man riding the motorcycle flipped over.LifeFlight transported the motorcyclist to a hospital in critical condition, officials said. This is a developing story. FREEPORT, Texas – Two bodies were found after officials discovered two vehicles submerged at a Freeport retention pond Thursday morning, according to law enforcement. At about 6:30 a.m., officials received reports of a submerged vehicle at a pond near the intersection of Highway 36 and South Brazozport Road. As crews pulled out the submerged vehicle, they found the body of 44-year-old David Ellison of Katy, Texas. Human remains were also found inside the vehicle, investigators said. HOUSTON – Two children, ages 4 and 10, were airlifted to a hospital in critical condition after a major three-vehicle wreck on the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road Tuesday evening, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. Three adults were also taken to the hospital with injuries, officials said. The wreck was first reported at 6:11 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road near Farm-to-Market 2234, officials said. Fort Bend County Precinct 4 Constable Trever Nehls said the parents of the children were driving in the right-most northbound lane behind a relative’s vehicle that had a flat tire. The northbound lanes of the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road were closed for several hours as officials investigated.

HOUSTON A 3-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital after being struck by a Jeep in Katy Wednesday evening, according to the Harris County Sheriffs Office. At about 6:48 p.m., the Harris County Sheriffs Office received reports that a child was struck by a vehicle at The Commons At Hollyhock Apartments located at 5751 Greenhouse Road in Katy. The Cy-Fair Fire Department also responded to the scene. The child suffered a serious head injury and lacerations all over his body and was transported to a hospital by LifeFlight, officials said. The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and is cooperating with HCSO traffic investigators.

HOUSTON – The man accused of causing a fatal wreck on the Katy Freeway service road over the weekend faced a judge for the first time on Monday. Police said Amy Shypailo, 29, was killed Sunday when Freeman ran a red light and broadsided her car at the intersection of the Katy Freeway service road and Gessner. Teare said Shypailo was on her way to Memorial-Hermann Hospital in Memorial City, where she worked as a speech pathologist. Teare said Freeman told officers he had a fight with his girlfriend and was just driving around. She was an undergraduate Texas Longhorn before completing her graduate degree in Speech Pathology at the University of Houston.

HOUSTON – A Houston nurse struck and killed Friday by a vehicle near Hermann Park is being remembered for his infectious personality. Houston Police said the Lapid was struck around 6:15 a.m. by a Cadillac Sedan in the 5900 block of Fannin Street. His older sister, Dianne, said Lapid left his job as a nurse in Dallas to be closer to family. He had only been working in the ICU at Houston Methodist Hospital for about two months before tragedy struck. “He was a phenomenal nurse, a wonderful person and everyone that knew him would see that.”Diskin trained Lapid when he started at Houston Methodist.

HOUSTON A 13-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle wreck near Spring Tuesday afternoon, according to the Harris County Sheriffs Office. Officials say a black sedan was stopping when a red mustang hit the car from behind. The teen and an 11-year-old child were critically injured and were airlifted to Memorial Hermann Medical Center for treatment. The teen succumbed to their injuries and the 11-year-old child remains in critical condition, officials said. Three adults, including another passenger from the black sedan, were also taken to the hospital.

HOUSTON A father was airlifted and his 10-year-old son was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance after they were both injured in a wreck in Sugar Land Sunday evening, police say. Officials say at about 4:45 p.m., the man was driving northbound on Interstate Highway 59 when he lost control of the vehicle near the 13000 block of IH-59. The vehicle hit a wall and both father and son sustained head injuries. Sugar Land police say the adult was taken to a hospital for treatment via LifeFlight and the son was transported to a hospital by ambulance. The northbound lanes will remain closed for at least two hours as officials investigate, police said.

Minutes after receiving his diploma Dalton Barnett, 18, lost both his parents in a car wreck after leaving his high school graduation ceremony. Fox 10 reports his parents were killed in a collision with a pickup truck in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, according to Kentucky State Police. According to the report, the driver, Nancy Barnett, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband, Lyndon Barnett, 56, died at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
