HOUSTON – Singer-songwriter Billie Eilish announced that she will perform a special livesteam concert Oct. 24. The virtual performance will begin at 6 p.m., which will be hosted on the platform Maestro and orchestrated by lil Studios. It is unknown how many songs she will perform at the “Where Do We Go? Concert.”Tickets are available now but fans who purchase their tickets before Oct. 11 will have access to discounted Eilish merchandise. The livestream of the event will be available on-demand for 24 hours after the concert ends for all ticket holders.

Alief native Tobe Nwigwe is bringing fans into The Pandemic Experience. The global broadcast will feature a live performance from Tobe Nwigwe, Ivory Rogers, known as Fat, and producer LaNell Grant. Earlier this summer, Nwigwe dropped the new six-song project, The Pandemic Project. The songs, Try Jesus and Make It Home, carry powerful messages about the complexities of being Black, Christian and American. In I NEED YOU TO (BREONNA TAYLOR), Nwigwe demands Kentucky officials arrests the killers of Breonna Taylor. In it, the rapper reflected the sentiment of the national movement seeking justice for the 26-year-old EMT who was killed by plainclothed officers in March. All of yall who think we need more evidence is goofy, Nwigwe raps in the song.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country superstar Garth Brooks is holding a concert that will be played at 300 drive-in theaters in June across the country. Brooks announced the June 27th concert event on Thursday. The concert will be created in Nashville, Tennessee, and tickets at each showing will be limited. The concert event will follow guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as all state and local health mandates. There will be rules on spacing between vehicles, protective equipment for staff, contactless payment and limited capacity in restrooms.

Well, in this case, party like it’s 1985, but regardless, you’ll be dancing to some classic Prince hits, thanks to his official YouTube channel. A live concert of Prince and his legendary band, The Revolution -- in Syracuse, New York in 1985 toward the end of their “Purple Rain” tour -- will be available to stream on YouTube all weekend beginning Friday, May 14 and continuing through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 17. Viewers can donate money while watching the stream, and Google will match it. The concert was originally released as a VHS back in the day, so Prince fans who have been there from the very beginning might have seen this show. It should be a treat for newer Prince fans who never got to see the man himself in action, especially at the height of his career, when “Purple Rain” was first released.

Now, many of those ticket holders are left waiting on refunds that may never come. When Live Nation or Ticketmaster canceled shows and concerts, instead of using the word “canceled,” the ticket sellers said the events were just “postponed.” Once rescheduled, even if the customer cannot attend on the new date, the companies won’t always refund the ticket price. Canceled concerts, refunds deniedIt happened to Houstonian Phyllis Bailey. When Bailey contacted Live Nation to get a refund of the $222.14, a representative told her the show was simply postponed until August 11. Live Nation told her she could get a refund.

Willie Nelson joined Luck Reunion for a free live-streamed show that would have been this year’s Luck Reunion concert. The concert was previously canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
