A fatal crash involving a tanker truck has shut down the westbound lanes of the Westpark Tollway near Highway 6.

It's unclear what led up to the crash, but officials said it happened on Westpark Tollway near Westheimer Place causing the tollway to be shut down while authorities investigated.

Houston Police said that one person is dead, and another is in the hospital following a car crash in west Houston.
