A firefighter at Fire Station No. 7 in The Woodlands Township was airlifted to the hospital after being injured by a fan in the bay area of the firehouse.

After a string of newborn abandonments in our area, officials are trying to provide women in crisis with more options to surrender their babies safely.

After several public meetings, The Woodlands Township chose Thursday to scratch the idea of a public restroom project in the Capstone Neighborhood Park.

Some people in The Woodlands are angry about a restroom project in Capstone Park in the Cochran Crossing neighborhood. They fear the facility will increase crime and create safety issues.

The Township Board of Directors voted to add bathrooms at the Capstone and Sundance Parks. However, several people are against the proposal for the Capstone plan.

Indoor playgrounds are popular for children, and of course, parents. They are convenient places for kids to have fun, burn some energy, and spend some time with other children.

On Tuesday, residents in the Woodlands voted against two proposals to incorporate the township as a city.

Incorporating The Woodlands to become its own city will be on the ballot this November.

There, The Woodlands township will distribute twelve different native seedling types on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last. HOUSTON The Woodlands Township reopened the Lakes Edge Boat House on July 3. Opening in 2016, the Lakes Edge Boat House is at 1970 Hughes Landing Blvd. on Hughes Landing boardwalk between One Lakes Edge and Two Lakes Edge apartment complexes. The boathouse is open to the general public and public parking is available in nearby lots and garages. Lakes Edge Boat House is currently open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the last boat going out at 7 p.m.
