HOUSTON – Southeast Texas residents woke up Wednesday to freezing temperatures, and it will be even colder Thursday morning. Temperatures dipped to 29 degrees in Houston on Wednesday morning, but they're expected to dip even lower on Thursday. Several Southeast Texas counties were under a hard freeze warning. "There's also a small chance of rain on Sunday if those lows hit us in the right spot," Yanez said. Texas Department of Transportation officials are also getting ready for another night of freezing temperatures.
