– The crowds and excitement have been building in Indianapolis as Super Bowl weekend gets started. "This is probably the most secure place, except for the White House, on Super Bowl Sunday," said Gary Coons, Indianapolis' Homeland Security chief. The biggest crowds have been in Super Bowl Village, where people have been soaking up from high and low. "I think it's fun because you don't have to feel like you're in Alaska when you're really in Indiana," Indianapolis resident Kate Cunisse said. The NFL's commissioner said the city is a viable candidate to host another Super Bowl.
