Heavy flames took out a total of 16 storage units at a facility in northwest Harris County and three firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion at the scene.

Lashareya Durden has rented a unit from CubeSmart storage on Atascocita Road for almost a year. She said she first had suspicions that someone had tampered with her unit when she found the lock had been changed.

Two men were arrested after they reportedly used a fake ID to rent out a storage unit in an attempt to steal other units, Mark Herman with Harris County Pct. 4 Constable said.
