Johnson won a gold medal at the Pan American Games in 1955 while competing in just his fourth decathlon. Johnson, Yang, and Kuznetzov had their way with the record books between the 1956 and 1960 Olympics. Johnson won over the Soviet audience with his gutsy performance in front of what had been a hostile crowd.

You should be sent to the toughest prison in California. Strauss sister, Sandy James, urged Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Michael Bowman to send DeAngelo to Californias notorious supermaximum Pelican Bay State Prison. When he is finally transferred, he will automatically be sent to a maximum security prison, as are all those convicted of first-degree murder. It will be up to prison officials to decide which prison and whether he must be housed in a protective custody unit.
