HOUSTON – Pharmacies at select Walmart and Sam’s Club stores in Texas will begin administering the coronavirus vaccine starting Friday. The retailers said its emphasis will be placed on locations that reach customers with limited access to health care services. Ruben Alonso, a longtime Wal-Mart customer, said he’s not sure he wants the vaccine but knows many people who do. “We lost the East Houston Regional Hospital so health care is kind of scarce anyway,” Alonso said. HOUSTON Walmart has officially announced that all stores will require shoppers to wear a mask or face covering of some sort when inside the store. The decision to require masks is an effort to help bring consistency across stores and clubs, according to the release. According to the release, this policy and protocol also applies to Sams Club stores. Members of Sams Club will be provided with a mask if they do not have one, or members can purchase masks inside.
