Rigo Villeda Vivar was indicted back on June 30 in connection to the fatal crash in Houston’s Second Ward back on Aug. 24, 2024. He was arrested Tuesday morning.

Nearly three months after Ricardo "Ricky" Resendez Jr. was killed in a wrong-way crash involving off-duty deputy constable Rigo Vivar, Resendez's family is demanding charges be filed against Vivar.

The Harris County Pct. 6 Constable’s Office said a deputy constable who was involved in a deadly crash Saturday in the Second Ward while he was off-duty, has had his employment terminated.
