CenterPoint and Entergy are preparing to manage power outages in the Greater Houston area due to a winter storm.

CenterPoint Energy expects near-complete power restoration for Houstonians by this evening, with over 840,000 customers already having their power restored since the outages began.

Despite the map showing their service as restored, many customers are still without power. To address this issue, KPRC 2 reached out to CenterPoint for clarification.

CenterPoint Energy has released a power restoration timeline for Houston, providing estimated dates for returning service to approximately 80% of impacted residents by Sunday night.

With the assistance of thousands of lineworkers and vegetation professionals, they have already restored power to over 82% of their customers.
