HOUSTON – It’s a Houston nightclub staple that’s been open for over four decades. Like many other businesses impacted by the pandemic, Numbers has been temporarily closed now for months. “The last night we were open was March 14," Rudi Bunch, the owner of Numbers Nightclub said. “Numbers is a big part of our music history in Houston," Robert Ehlinger, who said he grew up going to the nightclub explained. Everybody.”Ehlinger said with Numbers forced to temporarily close, he decided to step up and help out by producing a benefit record called Numbers Covered.

HOUSTON – The liquor licenses at four Houston bars have been suspended after the establishments failed to follow the state’s coronavirus safety rules, according to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. A bar in Fort Worth and another in Dallas were also on the list of establishments where licenses had been suspended. “These violations represent a very small number of the more than 20,000 licensed businesses inspected by TABC since the beginning of May,” TABC Chairman Kevin J. Lilly said in a written statement. TABC is committed to assisting the industry as we all work for a safe Texas.”More than 1,300 businesses were inspected during the operation, officials said. TABC officials said they are strictly monitoring bar and restaurant activity to ensure the protocols are being followed.

Sly later changed the name to Wild West Bar due to an identity crisis. Wild West Bar welcomed many top country music artists such as Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, and George Strait.
