A 20-year-old driver was critically injured after his vehicle crossed a median and collided head-on with a minivan in northwest Houston on Antoine Drive.

Authorities in northwest Houston are trying to piece together what led up to a double shooting late Tuesday night, where a woman was killed and left another man seriously hurt.

It's unclear how the crash unfolded, but Houston police say two vehicles were involved and at least one person died at the scene.

Investigators believe the two shootings are related, but are working to find out how they're connected. It's also believed there was more than one shooter at the first crime scene.

Based on preliminary evidence, police said it looked like the man was walking on the roadway when a driver hit him and kept on going.
