Thursday at 3:00 p.m. on Houston Life, we’re meeting the cast of the hit play, ‘Mean Girls.’ Asia Kreitz is a 2015 graduate of Cypress Ranch HS, was cast in the National Broadway tour of ‘Mean Girls,’ in April of 2019. She is one of the original touring cast members, and her story as to how she was cast is apparently very interesting. We’ll chat with her on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.

(Photo by Michael Zorn/Invision/AP, File)NEW YORK – Producers of the Broadway musical “Mean Girls” have decided not to restart when authorities allow theaters to reopen in New York City, the second and likely not last established show to be a casualty of COVID-19 on the Great White Way. “We remain excited to bring this musical to the big screen, relaunch the tour and prepare for a London production,” said “Saturday Night Live” and “Mean Girls” producer Lorne Michaels in a statement. Broadway theaters abruptly closed on March 12, knocking out all shows, including 16 that were still scheduled to open. Late May is the earliest Broadway will reopen, according to the Broadway League.

HOUSTON – Adjustments to Broadway at the Hobby Center’s 2020-2021 season schedule were made as the coronavirus pandemic continues to shut down theatre production on stages. Subscribers will continue to keep the same seats for shows scheduled for January and February, according to the news release. Subscribers can also choose to receive a credit, refund, or donate the value of tickets for shows canceled within the current season. The team at Broadway at the Hobby Center’s priority continues to be the health and safety of crew, cast, staff, and audiences, the theatre said in a statement. Here’s the adjusted 2020-2021 season schedule:
