Veteran producer Lynette Howell Taylor has been elected president of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization behind the Oscars, announced 17 people elected to its board of governors Monday.

The list of special guests is growing this year as Comicpalooza, Texas’ largest comic book convention will take place at George R. Brown Convention Center May 26-28.
