The Angleton Police Department says one of their officers, Sgt. J.D. White, died on Sunday after being hit by a vehicle while escorting a funeral procession.

Public services to pay respects to Deputy Jesus “Jesse” Vargas are scheduled for January 19 and 20.

First responders, fellow firefighters and the community are mourning the tragic loss of firefighter and EMT Nahit Oral, who died in the line of duty on Thursday.
